Dropbox is an incredibly useful application for synchronizing files between computers, or keeping a backup copy of your most important files in the cloud.  Dropbox is great for helping businesses keep their files as mobile as they are. You won’t have to remember to bring along a USB stick ever again.

1. Switch between Computers with Ease
One of the primary reasons businesses need laptops is for the sake of portability. However, with Dropbox, you could be stuck with a desktop and still be able to access your work from anywhere.

One of the most convenient features of Dropbox is that you can access your files not only from the Dropbox folder synced with your account, but also from Dropbox’s website. That means you can access your files from any computer, even a client’s laptop.

2. Keep Your Associates Up To Date & Easily Collaborate with clients
With Dropbox you can easily share a folder with an associate or a client. This is extremely useful since clients for example that need to send you regularly a few files can just drop them on the Dropbox shared folder instead of sending large files via email.

3.  Backup your files along with every version of that file
The best part about Dropbox as an on-line storage and collaborative tool, is that it will save every version of your documents so you can easily revert to a previous version. So in the event of saving over an important report or presentation you can easily restore the previous version.

Lost you computer or you had a hard disk failure? You do not have to worry about your important files if you had them stored in your drop box folder!
So today, I’ve given you a few more compelling reasons to use on-line storage and specifically Dropbox which works extremely well.

4. Work anywhere!

Now that your working files are in your Dropbox, you can access them almost anywhere — from any computer where you’ve installed Dropbox. Or, from any other computer with an Internet connection. Or, from your iPhone or iPod Touch, through the Dropbox iPhone app.

Meeting with a client and you want to get a quick look on the proposal you have sent them? Just load dropbox on you iphone and easily view the proposal while on the go just before meeting with the client!
Personally, Dropbox has made switching between my laptop and my work pc a lot less painful than it otherwise would have been. Also I am a lot more confident that I will not loose my important files since they are stored on both my laptop, work desktop and on the cloud! Perhaps you’ll find it will do the same for you.
